Our skoolie is a 1998 bluebird international and was converted on HGTV Tiny House, Big Living. She has a two-foot roof raise, is 37ft long, 12 feet tall, 240sqft, 1560 watts of solar, 8 148 AH lithium batteries, (will soon have) 100 gal water tanks and roof deck with hammocks. Inside the bus it has a full kitchen, bathroom, queen size lofted bed, full-size fridge, coffee bar, two AC units, and lots of storage.
Our favorite spot in the bus is by far the coffee bar. The living room is also our gaming area, complete with a couch that folds out into a queen bed for guest.
We wanted to go tiny for almost three years when we moved into the Binks Bus. We have been making improvements for a year and most recently we have been adding things like solar and water tanks so we can be off-grid for weeks at a time. Our signal booster allows us to work from almost anywhere and soon we plan to go out west. Our tiny house journey has not been instant but we are glad to be making this skoolie into our mini dream home.
P.S. We might be redoing the bathroom soon to add a clawfoot tub and window in the bathroom.
