High Country Times Bio:

An eclectic blend of bluegrass, Americana, and heartfelt folk with strong roots in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The High Country Chimes echo the soul of the Sierras and tell tales that riddle the existence of life. To make light of the darkness and hope from despair, the High Country Chimes are here.

Poi Rogers Bio:

Somewhere in-between the tropical lounges of 1930s Los Angeles and the honky tonk beer joints of rural 1950s California, you’ll find Poi Rogers. Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, the duo performs vintage country & western swing, Hawaiian steel guitar ballads and cowboy tunes.

Carolyn Sills and Gerard Egan front the award winning five piece band, The Carolyn Sills Combo, which has released three albums to date. When the Covid pandemic sidelined touring bands everywhere, the couple lost no time working on new music to perform as a duo, biding their time until the gigs returned. Poi Rogers features Gerard doubling on standard guitar and his 1954 Fender triple neck steel guitar with Carolyn on standup bass, her powerful voice anchoring the show.

“Bassist Carolyn Sills and her guitarist husband, Gerard Egan – Santa Cruz’s Les Paul and Mary Ford – crank out good stories, catchy love songs and creative chord progressions that will take listeners back to vibes of the post-World-War-II era. Carolyn is the real deal of throwback country music.” – Good Times Magazine

“After a long day working on the ranch, I like to kick back with a cold one in the hammock and Poi Rogers on the hi-fi.” -Lucas McCain

“Sills’ songs, written and produced with Gerard Egan, are an homage to jukebox Americana—tasty twang reminiscent of Merle Travis and Patsy Cline.” – Monterey County NOW

Whiskey West Duo:

Whiskey West combines the sounds of outlaw country, blues and bluegrass to create an edgy, toe tapping, good time acoustic honky-tonk sound. See the following link for the full band’s website. Please note that the only the Duo will be performing on the Barnstomp https://www.whiskeywestmusic.com
