The LR4 is our ultimate family and toy hauler. Other than a wheel and tire upgrade and the Frontrunner Slimline II roof rack, we didn’t need to make modifications for our adventures. It’s taken us through back country, up mountains and across the greater western US. We’re fortunate to live in California where we can load up the 3 kids, dog, paddle boards, mountain bikes, skis and recovery gear and hit all landscapes within a weekend. We’ve had the most fun driving the Glamis Sand Dunes surprising the side-by-sides at the swing set. It even carried me (Kristin) and my partner across 2000+ km in the 8-day navigation Rebelle Rally from Northern California to the Mexican boarder. It’s our versatile, real life LEGO build.
